23 June 2010 – who says you can’t change anything?

The results of the milk survey were in today when I got to the canteen. The coffee machine has a brand new notice attached to it. ‘By popular demand this machine is filled with skimmed milk.’ There was a brand new row of fruit salad in the cooler too. Who says you can’t change anything?

The afternoon was equally surprising. The England Slovenia match was on and the word was the top selling team in the building were going to be allowed off the phones to watch it on the big screen TV on the top floor. I didn’t take much notice of the announcement at the time but, after lunch, Kim told us we were that team!

What a match! Suspense, nail biting finish and we won 1-0. I guess the England boys looked at what happened to the French team and picked up their game. Obviously the thought of flying home on Easyjet with no speedy boarding galvanised them.
