3 July 2012 – making arrangements

20130201-192001

Sorry I’ve been AWOL but lots going on here with arrangements for Commando’s┬ámum’s funeral. The PM has been done and the official cause of death was DVT going to her heart and lungs but this was really just the straw that broke the camel’s back with all her other health problems. Continue reading

12 June 2012 – not the best of days

IMG_5496

Yesterday we had almost the whole average rainfall for June. It feels like my house is going to float away. I had a meeting with the company Mad House have bought in to help us with our job searches. Lots of really useful information about cv’s, job searching, interviews and much more. Hopefully that will help. Lots to think about anyway. The downside was it completely messed up our lunch and breaks and I didn’t have a chance to get my fruit. I also had far too many skinny lattes from the canteen as they were bringing them in for us and you all know how I love coffee. Then when I came back to my desk someone had left a cupcake with the england flag on it. Was feeling quite sick and wobbly by then as I had lunch too early and nothing since and it was about 5.30 with two and a half hours to go before home time. Of course I ate the cup cake then felt awful with big sugar rush. Continue reading

1 May 2012 – the good news, the bad news and the uncertainty

IMG_1664

Hi folks. Just to let you know I am still around just skulking in the background. After the redundancy announcement last Monday I’ve been a bit lax with the logging etc and, if I’m honest, eaten way too much. Comfort eating I know. Also had the girls from work round on Friday night and a great deal of alcohol was consumed, plus a photo of the infamous Mad House MD who came to our office on Friday and told us all how hard it was for him to close our building pinned up on the punch bag got a good beating. Continue reading

27 December 2011 – Christmas fall out

IMG_5683

Back to work for me tomorrow and back to proper meals too. Didn’t do too badly over Christmas but not too good either. No quality street in the house and only ate two out of the tin of biscuits Bard got us but a bit mad in the evening nibbles of savoury stuff. No exercise except the walk to and from the football yesterday and a trot up the big hill this morning for milk either. I’m SO not looking forward to weighing in. Continue reading

20 September 2011 – team talk in the pub

IMG_6949

Not such a good day for me. I didn’t do my pump it up this morning because I had to go to work early to get some processes sorted out before my holiday. I did walk in with my back pack and we had a pub team talk today too and I took my back pack with me. Sadly my only exercise today. I was planning on doing some more this evening but everything running late and I need to get an early start tomorrow so I can’t fit anything in. Continue reading

18 September 2011 – the finish line

20130302-213656

Well I made it to 14 days. Had a bit of an odd one today. No real exercise although I did plan some. I had a call late this morning from my good friend Frankie. She had some free tickets to the match this afternoon and wants me to go with her. The roast I’d planned had to be ditched and we had paninis instead because Commando had to go to work at 4 and kick off was three. Continue reading

17 September – the big breakfast

IMG_9840

After the window man fixed our two blown double glazing units and I’d done some washing and stuff and had lunch we went out to the New Forest for the afternoon. We parked up at Deer Leap and set off for a nice long walk. To start off it was quite windy and we were walking across heathlands into the wind which was a bit annoying. Continue reading

15 September 2011 – b2b day 11

IMG_7311

Calories burned today, 852. It started with beach body toning exercises, not a great calorie burn but my abs certainly know about it and my inner thighs. I walked to and from work and a quick stroll at lunch time with the back pack, 80 mins in all there. I have just done 20 mins step/kettlebells to finish the day. Continue reading
