19 July 2011 – father’s day

There’s still no good weather here but at least it’s not raining so far. Commando went i off to do his c25k run in the morning. He went along the shore today. He really seems to be enjoying this running business and I wonder if I should download the app and give it a go. Not sure I’m really built for it though. Continue reading

15 July 2011 – Hangover

cocktails
Well yesterday was pretty dire at work. I had a day of horrible calls. Problems I couldn’t solve and couldn’t find out how to solve, difficult customers and generally horrible calls. I had two really bad debt calls where customers basically refused every possible option offered and kicked off big time. Some people pay nothing for over a year and then think if they shout enough we will let them off. I also had a customer who called me. C**t, I didn’t even put the phone down on him straight away but he really did upset me and I ended up crying after I finally did hang up. Luckily my boss was sitting right behind me at the time and was very supportive. I almost walked out and went home. I do sometimes wonder how I manage to keep going back for more. I did stay away from the chocolate bars in the canteen though! Continue reading

11 June 2011 – rain, rain go away

IMG_4774

It’s been pouring down here and looks like it’s set for the day. Pity because I wanted to finish off the front garden but never mind it will wait. We went into town first thing to get fathers day sorted. I got a water bottle and runners bum bag for CJ to give Commando and Commando got some chocolates for his dad. I also booked a make up makeover appointment at Bobbi Brown for a couple of weeks from now. I wear hardly any make up but thought it was time to have a bit of a change to my boring routine. Should get a few freebies too so it is all good. The woman I have booked with doesn’t wear much make up either so hopefully it will all turn out well. Continue reading

10 June 2011 – a runner in the family

IMG_2416

This week has been my first week properly back on the wagon since my holiday. Yesterday morning I weighed in and I’ve lost 3 lbs. Now I will be trying to stay on the wagon for the next few weeks by which time I will hopefully be under the lower end of my target weight range and can go back to maintaining. Continue reading

9 June 2011 – fall out and targets

office-3

We had a mad rain storm with hailstones yesterday afternoon. Thank goodness I got CJ’s sleeping bag in from the washing line before I went to work. He’s off to the Download festival today so I have a nice peaceful weekend ahead of me.The member of staff stuck in the lift last night was a female manager. They took over an hour to get her out. As it was after eight o’clock she was probably pretty late home. Good job it wasn’t me because I would have been panicking and would also have probably had to pee in the corner at least twice. struggling – 8 June 2011

IMG_5666

Since I got back from holiday I’ve been struggling to get back on track with food and exercise. You are meant to feel rested after a holiday but I feel worn out. It probably doesn’t help that we have new systems to learn at work. We started using them yesterday afternoon along with the old ones, so now we are running three systems all together which is tough. I thought my head was going to explode at one point. We also had two power cuts in the afternoon which caused mayhem as all three systems went down. The last was a quarter of an hour before we went home and there were people stuck in the lifts when we walked down the stairs from floor eight to get out. Glad that wasn’t me! Continue reading

Grow your own – 4 June 2011

image56

Right now I’m concentrating on healthy eating and that involves eating as fresh and organic as I can. What better than to grow my own veg then? With this in mind I’ve spent the afternoon out in the garden weeding and cutting back. My little veg garden is doing really well. I have pods on the pea plants that look like they will be ready to pick in the next week or so. The tomato plants have their first lot of flowers just coming out and the first spring onions are beginning to swell. Continue reading
