25 October 2011 – l need a new job

I went to bed at 10 last night and took one of the Diazepam (I’m supposed to take them 3 times a day but it was my first because the pain killers with codeine made me pretty groggy during the day). I slept like a baby until 5.30. Woke up, went to the loo and thought I was healed because I felt no pain at all. Within 10 mins the pain was back so decided to take pain killers instead of another diazepam. I have to phone the absence line every morning and figured if I took another diazepam I wouldn’t be asleep until midday and would be in trouble for not phoning in. I think I will keep them for night time.

24 October 2011 – called a liar

I went to the doctors this morning and I have a whiplash injury to my neck. I’ve been signed off for a week and if it’s no better then I have to go back. I have some pain killers with codeine, some Muscle relaxing things and so diazepam to help me sleep.

23 October 2011 – Accident fall out

Feeling a bit tired and sore today. I didn’t sleep very well as I couldn’t get comfortable as Commando will testify because I kept him awake with my tossing and turning. My shoulder and neck feel like I’ve been doing a very tough workout and taken it a step too far but nothing too bad. Think I will go to see my GP on Monday just to get checked out.

22 October 2011 – car crash

We were going to town this morning as I have holes in my long socks and needed to get some more to wear with my boots. We were on the bridge, just pulled up in traffic when the car behind went straight into the back of us. The back bumper on the car is pretty badly smashed and my neck and shoulder are aching. Luckily Commando is fine because he saw her in his mirror, she was changing a CD and he knew she wasn’t going to stop, and braced himself. I think I’ll be ok but it’s annoying because I can’t do any exercise. Hopefully I will be feeling better in the morning.

20 October 2011 – back to hats and boots

What a difference a few days makes. It was so cold and frosty I got the furry hat out yesterday and think I will need it today too. Also my sketchers boots arrived and I wore them yesterday. All furry lined and SO comfy. Not sure the tone up thing actually does anything but nice to have warm cozy and comfortable feet when I walk so much.

15 October 2011 – glutton for punishment

Maybe I’m a glutton for punishment as I’ve just gone for another long walk. Commando reserved an HRM from Argos in Eastleigh so I said I’d march over there and pick it up for him if he would meet me and drive me back as I didn’t fancy two 10 mile walks in one weekend.

14 October 2011 – a day of things breaking

Off for a walk again this morning, I took my usual route down along the river to the White Swan and then past the airport to Eastleigh and the Swan shopping centre (where there are toilets!). It was a lovely sunny day if a little chilly.

7 October 2011 – walking

It was pretty chilly and windy outside but once I’d been walking a while I warmed up. Down by the river the trees are starting to turn. I think in a couple of weeks they are going to look really beautiful. There weren’t too many swans or ducks about this morning. I guess they don’t like the wind very much. I must say I don’t either.

4 October 2011 – New week new start

Barcelona was wonderful but I ate far too much. Luckily I also walked miles and miles which probably helped counteract some of it. Then I came back to the UK with a stinking cold, a ton of washing and work to go back too. Boo!
