Hi folks. Just to let you know I am still around just skulking in the background. After the redundancy announcement last Monday I’ve been a bit lax with the logging etc and, if I’m honest, eaten way too much. Comfort eating I know. Also had the girls from work round on Friday night and a great deal of alcohol was consumed, plus a photo of the infamous Mad House MD who came to our office on Friday and told us all how hard it was for him to close our building pinned up on the punch bag got a good beating. 11 November 2011 – feeling sorry for myself
Sorry I haven’t been posting but been feeling sorry for myself and also struggling to do too much. It’s been a bit one step forward two steps back. I feel a bit better I do things then the next day I feel worse again. Continue reading
1 November 2011 – it never rains but it pours
Now I am signed off work for another ten days because my shoulder and neck are still painful. I’ve had a few bad days of eating rubbish, lounging around on the sofa and feeling very sorry for myself. Continue reading
24 October 2011 – called a liar
I went to the doctors this morning and I have a whiplash injury to my neck. I’ve been signed off for a week and if it’s no better then I have to go back. I have some pain killers with codeine, some Muscle relaxing things and so diazepam to help me sleep. Continue reading
4 September 2011 – Almost back to normal
Finally we seem to be getting Bard’s flat back to normal and with it our lives. I am very proud of him because he had always had a kind heart and is willing to lend a helping hand. Sadly, this time it caused him a bit of trouble but all is now more or less sorted out. Bard’s face is looking a lot better too. We had to buy a new toilet as his friend managed to smash the old one. Commando fitted it for him this weekend and things are finally looking more or less ok. Continue reading
16 August 2011 – going in the wrong direction
Definitely dark and dingy here on the south coast after such a lovely sunny start yesterday. The weather matches my mood. After couple of weeks being our of control with time off work, Commando’s birthday and lots of eating out the blasted scales are going in the wrong direction. Now is the time to get back on the wagon. Continue reading
14 May 2011 – Moonwalk day has arrived
So the Moonwalk day has finally arrived. We made it to London and checked into the Travel Inn at Putney. This was when I realised I’d forgotten my socks for heavens sake! Luckily, as we were driving to the hotel I’d  seen an M&S and a sports shop close by so we went for a stroll and I now have socks. They’re padded underneath which may prove to be a godsend. We had a quick coffee and seed bar in Pret and I’m now going to try to have a snooze while Commando watches the FA cup final. Can’t wait to meet everyone later… Continue reading
28 March 2011 – zumba on the horizon! Maybe…
Today I went back to work. Although I was
feeling more or less normal I decided to take it fairly easy and ease myself back in slowly. Hopefully the whole fainting feeling odd thing was just a blip and that will be an end of it although I do have my blood test results on Friday and a doctors appointment to discuss them. Continue reading
22 March 2011 – poor treatment
Yesterday I had a very disturbing day. It began when I got up late because I forgot to turn my alarm on. This meant I had no time for exercise. When I went to the bathroom to weigh in and shower I felt faint so knelt on the floor thinking it would soon pass (I was a terrible fainter when I was a teenager so wasn’t particularly phased by it). It didn’t. It was about half an hour before I could stand up and even then I felt strange. Very shaky and not quite with it. I managed to have a wash and clean my teeth then had some breakfast and a drink. Continue reading
2 March 2011 – a bit of a scare
We have had another manic day on the phones with some horrible customers to make it all so much more fun. To top it all, we found out that one of our members of staff got stabbed outside in the car park yesterday afternoon. Luckily they were not seriously hurt but it does explain why there were police everywhere yesterday afternoon. Apparently one of the tramps who hang around the building all the time did it after being refused a cigarette. Leaving tonight at eight didn’t feel safe at all, although there were a few of us together. There are always so many tramps and beggars around our building and they are always coming up to us asking for money or cigarettes. Continue reading
