13 February 2012 – Feeling disheartened

20121214-071012

Over the last few weeks I’ve been working really hard to get rid of the weight I put on whiles I was immobilised after my car accident. After I was given the all clear to go back to the high impact exercise I slowly built up the kettle bells and step, the Pump it Up and religiously stuck to logging my food apart from a tiny chocolate slip up last week. Today I weighed in and I’ve put on two pounds! Continue reading

27 December 2011 – Christmas fall out

IMG_5683

Back to work for me tomorrow and back to proper meals too. Didn’t do too badly over Christmas but not too good either. No quality street in the house and only ate two out of the tin of biscuits Bard got us but a bit mad in the evening nibbles of savoury stuff. No exercise except the walk to and from the football yesterday and a trot up the big hill this morning for milk either. I’m SO not looking forward to weighing in. Continue reading

7 December 2011 – trying to get back on track

20120915-135203

An almost total lack of exercise unless you count stretching and yoga coupled with weeks at home unable to do anything much have resulted in a gain. It isn’t horrendous but it’s way more than I’d like and I have a wardrobe full of stuff that no longer fits. The problem is, I still can’t do much exercise, or not the stuff that burns calories and it’s tough to get back on track by eating well alone. Let’s face it, it’s hard to eat well all the time. Continue reading

16 August 2011 – going in the wrong direction

scales

Definitely dark and dingy here on the south coast after such a lovely sunny start yesterday. The weather matches my mood. After couple of weeks being our of control with time off work, Commando’s birthday and lots of eating out the blasted scales are going in the wrong direction. Now is the time to get back on the wagon. Continue reading

31 May – it could have been worse

scales

Sadly, my week away went all too quickly and, as we didn’t win the lottery, it’s work again for me this morning. I’m finding it hard to get back into a routine but I’m sure I’ll crack it by the end of this week though. At least I think I’ve more or less got the washing sorted now! Continue reading

9 January 2011 – facing the music

20121214-071012

Finally I faced the scales this morning for the big post Christmas weigh in. This was something I’d been dreading but there was a no putting it off any longer even though I was convinced I had put on at least a couple of pounds. Ok, it wouldn’t have been the end of the world but I wasn’t looking forward to it and was also worried that it might be more than that, much more.

That’s the problem with Christmas, you just never know how much it’s going to cost. Continue reading

21 June 2010 – a weight gain and a fruit disaster

Two stones seems about as much as I can lose

Two stones seems about as much as I can lose

Weigh in this morning and all the treats have caught up with me. Two blasted pounds on! It. It seems like it’s always one step forwards two steps back with me and I’m hurtling towards twelve stone again. Why does this have to be so hard? It almost feels as if two stone is as much as my body wants to lose and as soon as I get below it… Continue reading

14 June 2010 – paying for a lazy week

A little present

A little present

Well the week off filled with exercise and perfect eating didn’t go quite to plan. In fact it was almost exactly opposite to the plan and, as a consequence, there was a one pound gain this week. The wii fit trainer is all huffy with me again and I’m beginning to wonder if I’ll ever conquer this weight loss thing. Continue reading
