Random rest day for me today as my name was picked out of a hat to have today off due to low call volumes. So, in the best tradition of walks past, I thought I’d post about my random day off walk. Back to work for me after my week off. Thoroughly enjoyed my mini break to London with Commando and he bought me a lovely Pandora football bead to remember the promotion to the premiership. We spent an enjoyable day looking in all the posh shops at things we couldn’t afford and had a lovely meal in a little tapas place. My son Philo and his partner Sirona came round yesterday to tell us all about their holiday and to give me a belated birthday present. Continue reading
Back to work for me tomorrow and back to proper meals too. Didn’t do too badly over Christmas but not too good either. No quality street in the house and only ate two out of the tin of biscuits Bard got us but a bit mad in the evening nibbles of savoury stuff. No exercise except the walk to and from the football yesterday and a trot up the big hill this morning for milk either. I’m SO not looking forward to weighing in. Continue reading
Well that’s that for me until after Christmas now. I finished at 6.30 tonight and don’t go back until next Wednesday. YAY!!!! It was an odd day. Not many calls this morning although I did get a sale which was good as it takes my team stats up. This week I have had an amazing week with stats for some reason and some lovely customers. We had some time booked off this morning and did a team quiz boys against girls. Of course the girls won, we are the brainy ones after all. Pizza for lunch and a quiz with my team against our rivals on the floor. Again I was on the wnning team. Not that I’m clever but I just have some clever team mates and a smattering of useless info stored in my brain. Continue reading
Barcelona was wonderful but I ate far too much. Luckily I also walked miles and miles which probably helped counteract some of it. Then I came back to the UK with a stinking cold, a ton of washing and work to go back too. Boo! Continue reading
Just managed to log into the wifi in the hotel lobby before we set off for the day. Yesterday we did a tour of Cassa Batlo and loads of walking. Spent the afternoon on the beach and then went to La Ramblas for some night life. We have accidentally come here during a festival and the place wa packed. There were giant marionettes going down the street, not sure what they were meant to represent but they had heads like the tops of the towers on some of the Gaudi buildings. We then came back to Parc Olympic on the beach, had a bite to eat and accidentally got there at just the right time for a huge firework display. Continue reading
Finally we seem to be getting Bard’s flat back to normal and with it our lives. I am very proud of him because he had always had a kind heart and is willing to lend a helping hand. Sadly, this time it caused him a bit of trouble but all is now more or less sorted out. Bard’s face is looking a lot better too. We had to buy a new toilet as his friend managed to smash the old one. Commando fitted it for him this weekend and things are finally looking more or less ok. Continue reading
Sadly, my week away went all too quickly and, as we didn’t win the lottery, it’s work again for me this morning. I’m finding it hard to get back into a routine but I’m sure I’ll crack it by the end of this week though. At least I think I’ve more or less got the washing sorted now! Continue reading
One of the things that kept me going through all those long Moonwalk miles was the thought of my post Moonwalk holiday. So now I’m sitting on a warm beach in Agadir. So the Moonwalk day has finally arrived. We made it to London and checked into the Travel Inn at Putney. This was when I realised I’d forgotten my socks for heavens sake! Luckily, as we were driving to the hotel I’d  seen an M&S and a sports shop close by so we went for a stroll and I now have socks. They’re padded underneath which may prove to be a godsend. We had a quick coffee and seed bar in Pret and I’m now going to try to have a snooze while Commando watches the FA cup final. Can’t wait to meet everyone later… Continue reading
